my little studio

Hi friends. Some of you may have been wondering where I have been, and why I have not posted any dolls lately? Well, it is because I have been repainting, and cleaning my little studio! It's a modest little room, just 14X12, but I enjoy creating in here so very much...that is when it's clean, and I can find things! haha :)
I purged so much, all things I thought I "might" use, but never have, I cleaned every nook and cranny, and then I painted ceilings, woodwork, and walls, then, I cleaned some more. It has taken me every bit of the past two weeks to get it finished, but I am happy it is renewed!  This first photo shows it too yellow, banana colored almost, it's not accurate.

This second photo shows too brightly, and makes it look almost mint, it's not!

This third photo shows the color that the room actually is, a nice soft buttery yellow! Of course I have my touches of green here and there, ( I simply cannot live without at least some green!)

In this photo, you see the lovely gift I received from Dore at Burlap Luxe, isn't she so very talented? Also, I have my two very sweet mice, felted by our dear Penny of Angelsdoor. They have a special place in the top shelf above my desk!

this picture shows my giant  cupboard, It is over  8 feet tall, and has all of these drawers, shelves, and  two large storage areas at the top. I fell in love with it, and had to have it! It was a steal at 140.00

I'll leave you with a picture of these lovely flowers I picked yesterday on the side of the road on my way home. There were two very large plots of flowers next to a pretty country home, and a sign that read " FREE FLOWERS YOU PICK! I was delighted! Aren't they beautiful, and bold? xoxox Christel

  3. Oh, oh Christel,
This is you, so very you, all that I could have imagined your space you create in could have been this. First of all this is my very favorite post you have ever done or created.....of course I love and adore your wee ones, and many a times those posting have choked me up with my heart in my throat and tears flowing with your moving art pieces that have touched my heart with a memorie or an emotional time of my life that I connected to in your storytelling. BUT this POST takes the BEE'S KNEES....

I love when someone show all that is raw in them. The depth of there creative space and where pieces of art or conjured up, your computer as part of this creative thought, and work space that contains the beauty within the drawers and cabinets....the wow! piece in the room? well, let's say I love it too! And would not have passed it up. Your Green chest of drawers the shelving the shutter doors and it so dominates the room drawing attention to its amazement....that alone speaks to me because it has artist written all over it. A keep place where art and materials and tool of your trade is at reach.
It's truly a piece to love, and a a keep of I am sure imspires your work. It lovely to have worn, distressed pieces in a work space that adds to how the space makes you love being in there, it's really the rooted piece that inspires a lot of who you are.

I love the French Artist Miss Clara her small studio up stairs is layered shelving with pieces of art and her works that tell a story of her space being her place that inspires her work.... Your space does just that, your shelving layered with art, for here and there, along with your work and personal pieces tell your story......

THANK YOU dearly for a big surprise of being included into your post I feel so honored, a blew up the iPad enlarging the photo to notice you have staged a deliful setting in the theatre, I was over the rop charmed.

You have a studio to love, and it loves you right back.

Thank you for reminding me to visit, this is one post I would have been so upset on missing out on.

Lots of love to you my dear, thank you for your beautiful words over at my place.

    Xx
