Hi friends! I created this cute little piece for this months International Art Doll Show, elements. I have titled it Hide and Seek, for obvious reasons. Each little merbaby is aprox. just 3 inches.
OMG! Christel, these wee little mermaids playing hide and seek are amazing! What a creative mind you have.. I absolutely love this set... Someone is going to be very lucky. Thank you so much for leaving such kind words for me.. Been quite some time since I have attempted a portrait.. Just in the mood, you know how that is. Wishing you a beautiful week ahead. Love and blessings, Penny Oh! It was so great to see Hazel in Nowhere!!
Christel, This is what happens when I don't read the post.. I was so taken with your work, I did not pay attention.. So this will be your entry for the IDAR... Wonderful! Wishing you the very best, my friend.. I think this is a winner. blessings, Penny

Hi Christel I left you a long comment and pushed publish last night and did not see it for some reason it froze up and Google threw me off, so here I am visiting and trying again, I had the mermaid book for my daughter when she was little and your mermaid and merman reminds me of pages from that book with the floating face up and clinging to the sides of rocks. As a creative artist I often have these moments of what next do I create? Running empty of creative ideas I often rest until an idea comes to me! But you my friend move right into a new piece over and over again, never seaming to run out of creativity. There tails here fascinate me with the detail you gave them, I bet you could do a sea horse, I have a lady who wants me to create a cartapesta sea horse for her, always a challenge when someone ask something of you that may not feel as familiar to you in creating. I don't think that there is nothing you couldn't create in these wee ones, you give new meaning to the collections of story book dolls, your wee babies tell there own little stories.
You really amaze me ....I actually could get hooked as a collector of your wee ones, if I had a small child , I could see myself with little ones displayed all over her room as I did when my Hannah was little and Beatrix potter was everywhere I'm figurine form, yes those English cottage days well remembered by myself and my daughter.
What is now in the works, are you working on something? Or thinking and planing out your next piece.
See you soon beautiful, thank you Christal for taking the time to share in my seasonal holiday stockings and pale of my home.
