Fallen Angel Male

Hello friends. This is my latest ebay offering, a Fallen Angel, I have entered in this months International Art Doll show. I have titled this piece,
FALL FROM GRACE (2)
He is equivalent to an 8 inch tall doll. and is anatomically correct. His wings were made from painted, and multi layered coffee filters, coated with liquid Sculpey clay. They are very durable after baking! Although somewhat difficult to photograph, he has tears streaming down his face. I hope I portrayed the anguish within him.  For more photos, please visit his eBay auction. Thank you, Christel

New Series Dark Fairies Gothic Fantasy

Hello friends. I hope everyone is doing great. I am working hard at a new endeavor. A collector of mine made a proposal a couple of weeks ago, and although I was never a big fan of gothic style, nor dark monochromatic, I agreed to try her suggestion. She proposed that I create a doll to her specs,..a commission if you will, for an agreed amount of money, but not for her, for an ebay auction. I was intrigued, and this is the result! After creating the first dark fairy you see, she asked that I not place it on ebay, but send it to her because she loved it so very much! so... I created a second, and will create more. I thoroughly enjoyed creating something out of my comfort zone. Here are Aurora, and #2, Maline The first, and second in the Gothic Dark Fairy series. # 2 is listed now on my ebay. xoxo Christel P.S.

Heirloom Quality Miniature a new and improved design!

Hello friends, I have been working on a new design for some of my 1:12 scale miniatures, which makes them a much better quality doll in the end. It is much more work, and tedious at times, but the outcome shows much improvement! I hope you think the same!

First I created a little smaller head, only the size of a US dime, and painted in the eyes, instead of inset eyes I usually create. I sculpted a small breast plate with holes to attach to a soft body. Then I created half limbs with holes, and grooves, so that a wire could be inserted within each limb, and the clothing could be nicely fitted into the groove. I took extra care to ensure a standard small size Heidi Ott shoe would fit! (those little Mary Janes are so darling!) I created a small soft, fiber fill body, with a few weight pellets in the bottom, and inserted 100% cotton pipe cleaners through the body for the arms, and legs.

I cut the wires to the proper length , and attached the limbs, and sewed the head/breast plate to the torso of the soft body. I then did a little soft sculpting to give her a sweet shape. Now her body was all together, and I began designing her hair and clothing. I made little pantaloons, and after sliding them on her, I loosely filled in the area around the leg wires with fiber fill, same with her little blouse and arms.  I am including some WIP photos, so that you can see the progress. I forgot to take pictures of her soft body and wires, so I made a drawing to help show you.

I hope you enjoy seeing how she was made, and seeing her in completion! She is quite nice to pose, and hopefully someone will be proud to add her to their collection soon! She is listed on my eBay now! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, and for your visits! xoxox Christel
