Something new....something different

At first glance, you might think...another fairy..another woodland creature or wild fae...but take a second look, she is VERY different, I know, and not for everyone. I created this Bird/fae mini bust, I mounted her on a metal pedestal.. She has wings instead of arms, real Fox fur for her hair..(thank you Samm) and real assorted small multi colored feathers, to give her flight.

She is somewhat owl-like, she has hazel/yellow eyes, that are striking..I am trying many new things, and hope you will all follow along with me as I explore.

Her actual height on the pedestal is 5 1/2 inches tall

Her wing span is about 11 inches from tip to tip

She is removeable from the pedestal, and measures 3 inches alone.

~ Maribelle ~

Hello everyone, hope you are having a great week. I am excited to show you Maribelle!  I have actually used the name once before, during my first year of sculpting, but it was used for a dollhouse set of sisters, and not a fairy, I think it fits her perfectly! She is a 6 inch doll. I created her eyes differently than I usually do. These were made using a base of translucent cernit, then hand painted with acrylics, and clear fimo gel. After baking, they are glossed with clear varnish. I like these eyes very much, what do you think? I must admit, I still have not mastered the art of applying real lashes to my dolls..I hope it will evenutally come. I'm not sure if you can see them in the photos, but Maribelle wears transparent tights, that are fairy dusted.  I am still working on her wings, and hope to list her on ebay soon! xoxox Christel

added note, I actually finished her wings tonight, so I popped back in to add a photo (top) with wings!

~ Vienna ~ Romantic Fairy seated on antique trivet

Hello Friends! I am very pleased to show you my first adult lady fairy since my eye surgery! I hope you like her. I have named her Vienna. I found this cool antique etched glass trivent in a local antique shop, and couldn't resist it. I think it makes a unique place for Vienna to sit, and just be pretty. For more photos of Vienna, check out her ebay auction which begins tonight at 8:30 central time (see ebay button here on my page) Have a great day. xoxox Christel
